I know. I'm a horrible blogger lol. But it's a new year so I'm back. I'll be trying this again! Even though I'm not very consistent, I haven't given up completely! Lol.
A few updates:
Jason got a job with Foothill Transit, so he will be training to be a bus driver starting on Monday! I joked with him that we should be the couple from the Honeymooners for Halloween this year :D (Too the moon, Treen!) He gets five sets of uniforms (not free, but not super expensive) which include a shirt, pants, a sweater, and a hat. Yay! A hat! Lol. Anyway, so that's all good!
I'm doing my last student teaching atm. I'm at Kim Elementary in LA, which was built in 2007. It's a gorgeous school. The facilities are beautiful and the atmosphere is very inviting. You can tell that everyone who is there is either from the community, or loves working there. It's very near Koreatown, so there are a bunch of adorable baby (well, preschool, which is who I'm working with) Asian kids. The makeup of the school is mostly Korean and Hispanic. The class I am working with is a preschool special education only group, that is split into two classes, the morning 12 (slightly younger and needing a bit more focus) and the afternoon 12 (a bit more together, getting ready for Kindergarten). Although I loved working at Centro De Ninos with the early intervention, I'm really loving preschool. I didn't think I was going to like the academic part of it as much (in early intervention, it's more about developing skills and teaching the parents as well) but it makes things flow more easily, I think. Anyway, I have 9 more weeks, then the Comprehensive exams (EEEK.) then I'll be dooooooooooooooone! Woooot. So by Spring I should be walking for Graduation. Omg. Finally! For the last time!
Anyway, I'll try to keep this updated a bit better. I found I'm not really using my camera as much, since I got my HTC Trophy, so I'm not sure I'll do the weekly photo entries or not. Maybe I'll just pull them from Facebook :p Or force myself to start using my camera (better quality pictures, anyway!)
